Fantastic asada burrito today. I had to share one with my wife because they are huge. Comes with homemade tortilla chips and salsa. All for $8.99 The steak had those little crispy chared edges!

They have the best burritos in Oxnard and let me tell you there is a lot of places to get a burrito. The staff is always friendly!! It is tucked away in the meat market but so many people know about it. They are so quick!! You can get extra meat either 1 dollars worth or $2.00.
Please do your taste buds a flavor and check out their kitchen...me and my wife love getting burritos for lunch from here! Decent price and the amount of food you get will have you full halfway but its so delicious you will forcibly be eating the rest its that good! The heart wants what it wants... I was craving a torta real bad so I went on a hunt to find the best torta in town. Monarcas exceeded my expectations and then some! I got the carne asada torta and the meat was cooked to perfection, it was nicely charred with the right amount of seasoning. I was t-pain SPRUNG on this torta fr! My only critique is I wish it had avocado pero it was still a 10 out of 10. And the meat, whewww one of the best carne asadas I've had from a taco spot in Ventura County. They don't play! I also got their carnitas tacos and their chicken fajitas tacos. They were pretty good standard tacos. I love their salsa verde here, it's very tangy with hardly any heat to it (if you like spicy, then go with salsa roja). To my fellow introverted taco lovers, come here if you want to avoid lines and crowds of people. The service was quick and fast, I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. There isn't any seating on the inside considering it's primarily a meat market. There are a few tables outside to sit at if you want to eat there. Don't sleep on this place! Monarcas is truly top notch.

Normally, I judge a book by its cover and this would not have been a place I would have anticipated having the BEST asada street tacos. They are always on point Husband always gets the asada burrito and it's huge. Great food for a great price.
